EDC 920: Workshop for Teachers (3) grad

TOPIC: French Culture in the Classroom
Registration Deadline: July 1, 2008
This course is designed to help teachers
of upper level French classes animate
their classes through the study of
French and Francophone culture and
current events through the use of:
cultural readings, short stories,
literature, music, newspaper articles,
film, and most importantly the French
news and other current documentaries
from the French TV channel, TV5. The
class will be held in the language,
allowing teachers to increase their
competence in French through a variety
of activities, including a final
presentation.
*Participants will need the use of a
digital camera for this class.

two-week pre-convention seminar.

was born in 1997 in the south of France
near Saint Tropez.
OPUS 4
turns
the Russian, Romanian, and gypsy folk
songs in a new way, building a bridge
between the two
borders of the Atlantic ocean. Inspired
by their eastern roots and swing music,
they invite the audience
to take a tour into the gypsy lands and
Django Reinhardt style.
